Privacy Policy

Last updated 21 September 2026.

Courtroom Collective is a sole proprietorship based in Crawfordville, Florida. This policy explains what happens to information you give us through www.courtroomcollective.com, and what the site collects automatically while you use it.

What this policy does not cover

This policy is about the website. Case materials, exhibits, witness files and anything else a firm sends us as part of an engagement are governed by our engagement terms and by the confidentiality obligations that come with trial support work. They are not covered here, they are not used for marketing, and they are never published or sold.

Information you give us

Contact form. Your first and last name, email address, phone number, company name, a description of the services you need, and any deadline or trial date you enter.

Careers and vendor directory application. Your name, email address, phone number, address, what you do, your business or firm name, your availability, how long you have done the work, anything you write in the message field, and whether you asked to appear in the public vendor directory.

Consultations. When you book a consultation, the contact details you enter and the time you choose.

Newsletter. The email address you subscribe with.

The vendor directory is opt in

Your details appear in the public directory only if you ticked the box asking to be listed, and only the fields meant for publication: business name, service category, city, state, zip code, and the business contact details you gave us. We do not add people to it from our own contacts or from anywhere else. Ask us to remove your listing at any time and we will take it down.

Information collected automatically

Wix hosts this site and records standard technical information: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, referring page, and time of visit. Wix uses this to run the site, keep it secure, and produce aggregate statistics. Wix's own privacy and cookie notices apply to that collection.

The vendor directory page loads an interactive map. Once there are listings to show, that component requests map images from OpenStreetMap and looks up zip codes through a public postcode service. Those requests carry your IP address to those services the way any web request does. The component sets no cookies of its own.

Cookies

This site uses the cookies Wix sets to make the site work, keep it secure, and measure traffic in aggregate. We do not run advertising cookies and we do not sell advertising here.

How we use the information

To answer you, to quote and schedule work, to review directory and collaboration applications, to send the newsletter to people who asked for it, and to keep our own business records. That is the whole list. We do not sell personal information and we do not hand it to anyone for their own marketing.

Who else sees it

Service providers who run parts of the site or the business for us, principally Wix for hosting, forms, bookings and invoicing. They may use the information only to provide that service to us. If you pay us through the site, the payment is handled by the payment provider; we do not hold card numbers. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and applications are kept while they are active and for a reasonable period afterwards, so a conversation can be picked up where it left off. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Directory listings are kept until you ask us to remove them.

Your choices

Every newsletter carries an unsubscribe link. You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@courtroomcollective.com and we will deal with it.

California residents

We are a small business and we do not believe the California Consumer Privacy Act applies to us. We will honor its main rights for California residents regardless: the right to know what personal information we have collected about you, the right to have it deleted, the right to have it corrected, and the right not to be treated differently for asking. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are used in that law. Write to hello@courtroomcollective.com.

Children

This site is meant for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, tell us and we will delete it.

Security

The site runs over HTTPS and form submissions are held in Wix's systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we will not pretend otherwise.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
