ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT

Last updated 21 September 2026.

Courtroom Collective wants this site to work for everyone who needs it, including people using a screen reader, a keyboard on its own, screen magnification, or other assistive technology. This page says what has been done, what has not, and how to tell us when something does not work.

What we are aiming at

We are working toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. The site has not been formally audited against that standard, so we do not claim conformance with it. What follows is what has actually been checked.

What is in place

The site declares its language, so screen readers pronounce the content correctly.

Each page has a single main heading, and the heading structure runs in order without skipped levels.

A skip to main content link is the first thing a keyboard user reaches on every page.

Every field on the contact and application forms has a label attached to it, rather than placeholder text that disappears as soon as you type.

Photographs that are purely decorative are marked as decorative, so screen readers pass over them instead of reading out file names. Images that carry meaning have descriptions.

The vendor directory sits in a frame with a descriptive title and is built from standard form controls, so it can be operated with a keyboard.

Buttons and links describe where they go rather than saying click here or read more.

Text colors are measured rather than assumed. Every text and background pairing in the site palette meets the WCAG AA contrast ratio of 4.5 to 1 for body text. The main pairing, dark ink on the off-white background, measures 11.8 to 1, which meets the stricter AAA level. The one pale color in the palette is used for rules and borders only, never for text.

What is not done yet

The site has not been tested end to end with a screen reader by someone who uses one daily.

Contrast has been verified for the site palette, but not for every individual element, including text placed over photographs.

Several pages use components supplied by Wix and its apps, for bookings, forms and the blog. We do not control their markup.

Motion and animation have not been reviewed against reduced motion preferences.

Third-party content

Parts of this site are provided by Wix and its apps, and the vendor directory map draws on OpenStreetMap. Where those components fall short we can raise it with the provider, but we cannot always fix it ourselves. We therefore declare partial compliance for the pages that depend on them.

If something does not work for you

Tell us. We would rather hear about it than have you give up on the page. Email hello@courtroomcollective.com or call (561) 598-4245, and say which page you were on, what you were trying to do, and what happened. If we cannot fix it quickly, we will find another way to get you what you needed.
